Presentation at ERWC 国際多読学会での講演

Hi,

I had a great time sharing the Three-Stage Reading Program at English Square with all the great teachers gathered at Extensive Reading World Congress in Kyoto last Sunday.

I touched on a bit of theories regarding reading fluency instruction. - see how serious I can be!

and demonstrated one of the most popular picture book based activities at my school.

I've also shown several video clips and photos taken in my classrooms.

The session went very smoothly thanks to the eager-to-learn, fun-loving teachers in the room!

Helping children become fluent and independent readers in our EFL environment is a challenging task, but I trust that it is a worthwhile endeavor for all the kids' teachers!

昨日、国際多読学会にてイングリッシュ・スクエアで開発した３段階のリーディングプログラムについて講演をさせていただきました。

熱心で楽しい先生がたのお力をいただき、読みの流暢さについての理論導入とアクティビティのデモ、そして実際のクラスで撮影したビデオ、写真紹介などで、あっという間の４５分。

一週間に１回のレッスンで子供たちの読みの力をつけるのは容易ではありません。

でも、グローバル社会に羽ばたく子供たちに欠かせない、英語の読解力。
これからも研究を重ねて、世界に通用する読解力をつける指導力をつけていきたいと思います。
